Here are five tips to give you a healthier happier Thanksgiving this year. Number 1 is to be N.E.A.T.

N.E.A.T. stands for non exercise activity thermogenesis. So what you want to do is just move around and be active. This type of activity, can increase calorie burning from anywhere from 240 to 800 calories, which can stand for 15-50 percent of your total daily energy expenditure.

Number 2 be insulin sensitive. So some supplements you can take is berberine. We just did a video, so check that out. And we can also perform this exercise called the soleus push up which you can check another video on our page. Something you can do is also just take the little toddler that's running around Thanksgiving and do some squat thrusters with them and perform a little squat thruster exercise. This type of activity is going to regulate the glute receptor which is going to increase your insulin sensitivity.

Number 3 is to moderate liquid calories. Liquid calories include alcohol as well as fruit juice. The issue with these kind of beverages, is that they increase your calories without actually giving you any feeling of being full.

Number 4 chew your food. When you chew your food, that's going to break it down. So you absorb more of those nutrients which is going to help regulate our homeostatic mechanisms.

Number five is just be with family, holidays are about being together and expressing love for one another. And one of the best things you can do for your health is have that sense of community.
