LAKE BLUFF, ILLINOIS, May 15, 2015, Dr. Julie McLaughlin, of McLaughlin Care & 8 Weeks to Wellness, was pleased to announce her recent “8 Weeks to Wellness” Leadership Award. None other than Dr. Dane Donahue, co-founder of the program, presented the prestigious award. The presentation was given during the annual “8 Weeks To Wellness” 2-day conference in Newtown, PA. 8WW is comprised of 80+ independent offices across the country. Dr. McLaughlin has successfully administered this program in her office helping numerous patients and families achieve optimal health.
What the “8 Weeks to Wellness” program has done is introduce a whole new paradigm into healthcare in America. It takes the focus off of sickness care and places it on wellness care. The eight week program is a multi-faceted wellness program. Chiropractic care is at the heart of this program, or maybe better to say as the “backbone” of this new approach to wellness. Chiropractic care is all about bringing the body into balance, so that one’s “innate” healing powers may function in an optimal manner. Another important facet of the program is Exercise. The American population is experiencing levels of obesity never before seen. Incidence of heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, and osteoporosis are all related to a lack of physical activity. 8WW will custom tailor an exercise program for each individual’s needs.
The “8 Weeks To Wellness” program shows people how to eat for the rest of their lives. It features an eating program that teaches people, maybe for the first time, how to eat properly. Meditation and Massage round out the program by refocusing mental energy and removing stress from the body.
