The reason Chiropractic works is because it addresses the cause of the condition instead of just treating the symptom.  Chiropractors open up the nerve flow to every muscle, organ and system in the body to allow the restoration of function and the relief of pain without the use of drugs or surgery.

Chiropratic Care

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic concentrates on manipulating the spine and other joints to treat illnesses. It is based on the belief that because the nervous system controls the body, correcting the spine can treat a variety of illness. Patients are typically asked to lie on a specially designed table, where the chiropractor does the spinal manipulations. The most common is manual manipulation, where the chiropractor moves a joint to the end of its range, then applies a low-force thrust. The chiropractor may also use other treatments, including physical therapy modalities, heat and ice therapies, massage, acupuncture and exercise.

At the heart of the chiropractic philosophy is this simple wisdom: treat the problem itself, not just the symptoms. If you only look at the symptoms, the underlying problem is still there and will keep coming back until it’s treated. Chiropractic care is an effective method of treatment for many people who suffer from back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other neuromusculoskeletal disorders. The science of chiropractic centers around the body’s spine. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord, which is the “switchboard” through which nerve impulses are transmitted from the brain to all parts of the body. In the event of an injury, misaligned vertebrae can interfere with nerve transmissions, inhibit mobility, and cause pain or discomfort. Chiropractic treatment realigns the vertebrae so that nerve impulses are not restricted. When the spine is properly aligned, the cause of pain and malfunction is removed, and the body will return to normal.
